We are glad to come up with another post of our series of articles Know The Web , Today In this post we are going to cover 5 almost unknown specialized Google services that can be used for specialized search.Google or I call it Search Engine giant have many products in almost every field ,some of them we use everyday , but there are still many services which are very useful and yet you don't know about them.
Google has been testing its products in every field and some are in beta test whether some of the services like Zeitgeist are closed.Here are the 5 Almost Hidden Google Search Engines :
This product is a search engine that allows you to find movie-related information faster and more easily,this is one such service that allows you to know the movies that are being played near your place you just have to fill zip code or city/state and click the "Search Films" button). It also provide information like reviews, rating, cast, so you can know where your favourite movie is being played. even if you are in middle of traffic you can search through your mobile.
As the Name suggests Google Moon is a service similar to Google Maps which shows satellite Images of the Moon , even though you can use Google earth to see 3D images of the Moon .The landing site of each of the Apollo missions is shown on the satellite image, providing more information on each mission as the user zooms in. Another such service is Google Mars.
This is really amazing search service which allows you to access over 7 million patents of past and present.Google is working with United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for providing such product.It displays search results with drawings, cross references and similarities to other patents.There is also a advanced Patent Search option which allows you to search specifically for a patent if you have needed data.
This search engine allows you to search articles, theses, books, abstracts and court opinions, from academic publishers, professional societies, online repositories, universities and other web sites. Google Scholar helps you find relevant work across the world of scholarly research.However sometimes the results that it finds will either be behind an academic password/pay wall or be a link to a book which is not available online. Nevertheless it is a great research point for deep interest on a subject.In our previous article of Know The Web we have discussed about such service.
This Service allows you to search for the products and compare prices and search for the places where you can buy the product.Enter any Product you are looking for and Google will give you hundreds of places from where you can buy that product with very minimum price. you can also shop online by using different services and Google Checkout.
